The Harrowgate Courier

Privacy

Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a newspaper, we never sell your data, and you can leave with it whenever you like.

What we collect

When you subscribe to The Dispatch, we keep your email address and anything you choose to tell us, such as your name. When you write to us, we keep your message so we can answer it. When you buy a membership, our checkout provider handles payment; we keep the order record, never your card details.

What we never do

We never sell personal data. We carry no third-party advertising trackers, because we carry no third-party advertising. Anonymous reading statistics help us understand which stories matter; they cannot identify you.

Newsletters

Each edition of The Dispatch includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all mail immediately, and deleting your contact removes it from our list entirely.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion at any time through the contact page. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will say so in The Dispatch before the change takes effect — not after.
